•Q. Is there a fuel charge?
•A. If you are trailering the boat or renting overnight please replace the fuel you use with 87 octane regular gas Thank you! We test the fuel before and after a rental to ensure the quality for you and the next customer.
If you are renting the boat locally on lake Conroe for up to 8 hours without the trailer package there is no need to replace the fuel.
•Q. Who is allowed to drive the boat?
•A. The renter of the boat (the captain) may drive the boat, a BBR employee or trained operator may drive the boat, nobody else is allowed to drive the boat. It is the responsibility of the boat captain to enforce this rule. If you cannot enforce this rule you WILL lose a 10lb bass on your first cast.
•Q. What if more than one captain would like to drive the boat?
•A. For insurance purposes, each captain will need to do the following:
1. Complete BBR renter verification
2. Complete a Captains waiver
•Q. Do I need to sign a liability waiver?
•A. Yes the Captain and all passengers need to individually sign an electronic waiver. There is a Captains waiver and equipment acceptance checklist for the renter of the boat. The passengers need to complete a passenger waiver.
•Q. When should I sign my waiver?
•A. The Captains waiver will be completed upon pick up of the boat at rental start but should only be signed after inspection of the boat and acceptance of the equipment. There is a time stamp on the captains waiver that will start the rental period.
•Q. When do I receive the keys to the boat?
•A. The Captain (renter of the boat) will receive the keys when all waivers have been signed and verified by a BBR trained operator.
•Q. What information do I need to have ready before I sign the captains waiver?
•A. The Captains waiver requires that you know the name and address of all passengers before the rental begins.
•Q. What if I want to add a passenger during the rental period?
•A. The captain needs to add the name of the additional passenger by notifying us through info@bbrbassboatrentals.com The added passenger needs to complete a passenger waiver online and list the name of the boat captain on the waiver.
•Q. Do the passengers that are minors (under 18 years of age) need to sign a liability waiver?
•A. The parent or legal guardian of a minor (under 18 years of age) needs to sign an electronic waiver on behalf of their minor before the rental period begins.
•Q. Is there a weather related cancellation policy?
•A. Bass fishing is an outdoor activity, weather is a factor which adds to the challenge and fun in participation. BBR does not cancel reservations due to bad weather unless there is a named storm at the office location of BBR bass boat rentals or ongoing evacuation due to the named storm at hand.
•Q. What is your cancellation policy?
•A. If cancellation occurs 2 weeks prior to your reservation there will be a full refund. Within 2 weeks and up to 48 hours of the booking we will keep a $200 booking fee from your refund amount. Cancellations within 48 hours prior to your reservation will be charged the full amount unless you re-schedule to a date within 90 days of the original reservation. No shows for any reservation will be charged the full amount.
If the tournament is cancelled prior to the reservation start "by the tournament director", BBR will re-schedule your booking at no cost.
If the tournament is cancelled on the day of the tournament "by the tournament director" BBR will pro-rate your refund based on the daily rate e.g. if you return the boat 1 day early we will refund the cost of that additional days rental.
•Q. Are reservations required ?
•A. Reservations are preferred due to the preparation required to get the equipment ready for your rental. However, if you are in a tournament and need a tournament bass boat urgently due to mechanical failure of your own vessel, we will do everything possible to get you back on the water if we have a boat available.
•Q. How old do I need to be to make a bass boat rental reservation?
•A. 21 years old
•Q. How does BBR verify I can operate the vessel?
•A. The vessel operator needs to complete the renter verification section of our booking system and must comply with at least the following:
21 years old
Copy of valid US drivers license
Copy of Texas boaters license if born after sept 1st 1993 per TPWD regulation
•Q. Do I need a Texas boaters license?
•A. If you were born on or after September 1, 1993 and are 18 or over, you must have completed a Boaters education course to legally rent a boat in Texas. However, BBR insurance underwriters require that you are at least 21. Choose a boaters license course below (hint: boatUS.org is free but it takes several hours)

•Q. Is a deposit required to rent?
•A. Yes, all rentals require a $500 security deposit.
•Q. Do I need insurance?
•A. For the duration of the rental period, the Renter is responsible for any damage to the boat, trailer, motor, prop and any other property of BBR bass boat rentals, LLC while in renters possession. BBR Insurance liability coverage meets or exceeds the typical minimum bass fishing tournament requirement of $300,000 liability, ours is $1,000,000. If you intend to fish a tournament it is the renters responsibility to check with the tournament director to ensure this insurance is acceptable before renting. BBR can provide proof of insurance directly to the tournament director upon request. If you are unsure of your own personal insurance coverage while renting a boat, you need to call your boat owners policy provider if you have one, or your home owners policy provider if you have one. If you do not have insurance through either one of these resources, the renter will be held responsible for any damage caused to BBR bass boat rentals, LLC property. If trailering the boat, the renter is responsible for checking with their vehicle insurance policy provider to ensure they have adequate coverage.
•Q. Does BBR sell supplemental insurance?
•A. No
•Q. What if I find a problem with the boat I have rented?
•A. BBR will do everything possible to ensure the boat, motor, prop and trailer are fully functional and performing to the highest standard possible. If you notice a problem upon receiving the equipment, it is the renters responsibility to advise the trained operator/employee of BBR at this time before signing off and accepting the equipment. It is the renters responsibility to ensure they check everything fully before accepting the equipment using the equipment checklist on the captains waiver. A walkdown with the BBR employee/ trained operator is required and the waiver/checklist needs to be completed and signed by the renter before the keys can be exchanged. If you have any questions at the time of the exchange please feel free to ask questions to make yourself feel comfortable with the transaction at hand. We are here to provide a service, it is our goal to ensure you are 100% satisfied with our service. If there is a problem with the equipment which is not serviceable at the time of the transaction, BBR will endeavor to fix or replace the equipment or cancel the transaction.
•Q. What if I damage the boat I have rented?
•A. For the duration of the rental period, the Renter is responsible for any damage to BBR boat, trailer, motor, prop and any other property of BBR bass boat rentals, LLC while in renters possession. After the rental return please advise the BBR trained operator of the damage, we will do everything we can to fix the damage. We may need to use the renters deposit toward the repair costs. BBR will provide receipts for all work related to the repair of the damage. If the damage exceeds the amount of the deposit, BBR will take the whole deposit and file an insurance claim to have the boat repaired. BBR's insurance company will then pursue the renters insurance company for payment of the additional repair fees. This would amount to the same if you were the owner of the vessel and had it repaired yourself.
•Q. Do you allow dogs on the boat?
•A. Sure, please clean, sanitize and dispose of your pets waste.
